3 tips for removing rings and stains from cutlery

It has surely happened to you, after buying cutlery, that stains or rings sometimes form so significant that all the pieces appear dull and lose their shine.

This is due to the water we use to wash them which, being full of minerals and limescale, if we do not dry the cutlery well, will form stains on their stainless steel surface, making it dull.

Fortunately, there are natural tricks to make your cutlery shine like new.

As with many other cleaning tips, vinegar and baking soda are the best allies to remove stains from cutlery and prevent it from becoming dull .

The most important thing to do with stainless steel cutlery is to wash it immediately after using it and dry it as soon as possible .

Let the water drain for a few minutes and then place them on a microfiber cloth that can absorb the water. Finally, use a clean cloth to dry them individually before storing them away.

It is important that the cloth is made of microfiber, because its soft texture will prevent damage to the surface of the cutlery.

If your cutlery is already stained, make it shine again with the two most effective natural solutions.

In a large enough container, mix 1 part vinegar with 8 parts hot water and soak the cutlery for 10 minutes. Finally, dry with a microfiber cloth.

Another option to remove marks and stains from cutlery is to mix two tablespoons of baking soda in 300 ml of water and let the cutlery soak for 10 minutes. Finally, rinse well and dry immediately with a cloth.

If in addition to being stained, the cutlery also has scratches, moisten a microfiber cloth with olive oil and rub it over the surface.

Then immerse the cutlery in a solution of water and vinegar and rinse thoroughly under running water. Remember to always dry your cutlery before storing it.
