This black mold grows on bathroom silicone because it is a surface capable of retaining moisture, which, combined with poor air circulation, creates a perfect environment for this mold to proliferate.
To keep the bathtub clean, you can use the solution we describe in this article.
You will need: 1 container to mix the ingredients, 1 bottle of bleach, 1 box of baking soda, 1 brush, 1 roll of cellophane, 1 bottle with a diffuser (spray). Also use a mask, gloves, and old clothes.
The bathroom must be ventilated, as bleach fumes could be hazardous to health.
Mix the bleach with the baking soda until you get a thick solution.
Apply the solution to the silicone with the brush. Try to be quick, as the solution can disintegrate the brush bristles.
Cover the areas where you applied the solution with cellophane to prevent it from drying out and leave it on for a few minutes.
After 30 minutes, the mold will be gone. You can rinse with the diffuser bottle.
Your shower or bathtub will then be like new.
