How to Clean and Descale the Oven Using the Pot Method

When it comes to housework, if there is one really boring and heavy household chore to do, it is  cleaning the oven  .

Encrusted grease and other food residues  accumulate inside our oven and, over time, harden to the point that they become practically impossible to remove without the help of a dedicated product.

The problem is that most of these products are loaded with chemicals and are really harsh. While they’re effective against dirt, they’re bad for our health and there’s a risk they’ll end up in our food.

In this article, we propose a method that is a valid alternative to  oven scouring and cleaning products  . Read on to find out what it is.

To put this method into practice, we need a  pan suitable for oven cooking  . These are pans that can withstand very high temperatures, almost always made of ceramic, soapstone, cast iron, or stainless steel.

Fill the pan with  water  , then pour in  half a glass of vinegar and the juice of one lemon  . The steam from this solution will help to  clean the oven and neutralize bad odors  .

Set the oven to 250 degrees, then place the pan and leave it for 30 minutes.

Immediately afterward, turn off the oven and let it cool. Before it cools completely, taking care not to burn yourself, use a cloth or sponge to remove all residue, which will come off easily.
