This theme is especially for those who love flowers, especially roses. When we receive rose bushes, we love them, but unfortunately, after a few days, we notice that they are wilting, and we think there is no turning back. However, with the stems of these faded roses, we can work magic.

There is a foolproof trick to get beautiful roses from those stems that look faded, we don’t need to be expert gardeners to do it.

If after several attempts to keep our plants beautiful, they end up dying and we think that our already faded rose stems have no solution, with this trick we will make them bloom again.

Let’s see what the secret formula is:

How to Grow a Rose from a Stem

Pure and simple, this is the easiest way to grow a beautiful, fragrant rose from a bouquet or thin cuttings.

A simple and very successful method to continue enjoying roses, let’s see the ingredients and elements we will need:

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 2 tablespoons of aloe juice
  • 1 teaspoon wood ash
  • 120ml of decanted water
  • plant in the ground

Procedure

  1. We start by preparing the cuttings and for this, we cut the flower at a right angle and leave only the upper part of the stem, using 3 to 5 buds and several leaves. It is also important to make an oblique undercut.
  2. Then, in a container, we combine honey, aloe juice, ash, and then pour into a mixture with 120 ml of settled water.
  3. Next step, we immerse the cuttings in a nutrient solution for half a day, remember that if they are very stunted, they will take longer to recover.
  4. After some time, we remove the cuttings from the stimulating solution and transplant them into the soil.
  5. Remember   that the cuttings must be well covered to prevent them from drying out. To achieve this, you can use a plastic bottle, such as a clear plastic bag, preferably.
  6. Another recommendation is to leave the pot with the cuttings in a warm place, in addition to opening the bag from time to time so that the plant receives the essential dose to oxygenate itself.
  7. It is important to moisten the soil, especially if the soil is very dry.

When will the cuttings wake up?

The reality is that it all depends on the temperature and the condition of the plant, but on average it takes 30 to 45 days to root. Only once it is well rooted can it be planted in the garden or in pots.

In the case of cuttings that are in pots, we can insert some slightly decorative twigs around the edge and the important thing is to place a plastic bag on top.

Next step, we spray and water the cuttings as needed to keep them hydrated and the soil moist. You’ll get beautiful rose stems!
