Simply fill a bag full of water to permanently solve a classic problem of the summer months: seeing is believing.
Water bag
The summer months are eagerly awaited by many people who can’t wait to return to enjoy a little relaxation on the beach or walk along mountain trails or perhaps treat themselves to a nice outdoor meal in a characteristic location. However, as homeowners well know, the summer heat and consequently the need to keep the windows open to let some air circulate also bring significant inconveniences. First of all, the apartment is once again filled with various insects, such as mosquitoes , which bother not only humans, but also animals and plants.
With a bag filled with water, flies will be a thing of the past.
Besides mosquitoes, it’s not uncommon to encounter spiders , geckos, and ants in the rooms of your home in the summer , as well as flies . Flies are probably the insects that cause the most problems, given their annoying buzzing.
Flies
The good news is that there are ways to get rid of flies, or at least significantly reduce their presence inside the home. Many people choose to rely on various chemical products that are easily found even in common supermarkets.
However, it is advisable not to opt for these solutions and instead choose alternative remedies , which have much less impact from an environmental point of view.
Just to give an example, many people don’t know that a simple piece of aluminum foil can be enough to keep flies away from your home.
What exactly do you need to do? First, take a sheet of aluminum foil, divide it in half, and then divide the two halves again until you have squares. Roll these squares into small balls.
How many balls should you make? Generally, four or five are enough to create this foolproof method that will keep insects away from your home.
The next step is to take a clear bag and pour some water into it (tap water is fine). You don’t need to fill the entire bag, just the bottom part.
What should we do now? Inside the transparent bag where we poured the water, we also place the balls that we previously made by rolling the aluminum foil.
Aluminum beads to keep flies away: here’s why
Why should putting aluminum beads in a bag of water help us prevent flies from invading our homes? The reason will soon be revealed.

The reflection of the water on the film actually acts as a deterrent for flies , which will feel very bothered by this and will stay away from our house.
After placing the aluminum foil balls in the water, close the bag with a simple knot. The final step is to hang the bag inside your home to keep flies away.
This last “step” can be done using an elastic band or a thread, in order to easily hang the bag. We can place it on the door of the house , near the windowsill or anywhere in the house where flies could enter more easily.
