Everyone pours the milk into the plants in the garden. The farmers’ makeup is truly extraordinary.
Hello green thumb lovers! Perhaps some of you don’t know that milk (especially cow’s milk), if used correctly on plants, can be an incredible ally.
In fact, milk can make plants grow and bloom thanks to its nutrients and can be used for garden, orchard and house plants.
Let’s take a closer look at the reasons why we should use it.
Milk in plants, the farmers’ trick is truly extraordinary
Fertilize
Milk can be a very good liquid fertilizer. In fact, we simply add it to our organic fertilizer. Caution: It’s important to remember that expired milk is safe to use.
Disinfect and clean work tools
If not properly cleaned, our tools can make plants sick due to the attack of certain pests. What we need to do is very simple: just soak a cotton ball in milk and wipe it over the tools after use. They will be disinfected at best, and we can use them without fear.
Fertilizer
Milk can be an exceptional natural fertilizer. Simply pour it into a watering can to make 80% water and the rest milk. However, plants should be watered with milk once a month, at most twice a month.
Fungicide and protects against insects and parasites
Milk contains antibacterial and fungicidal properties. In addition, it can protect against whiteflies, spider mites, and aphids. In short, it protects the plant naturally.
If we have a plant that has already been attacked by fungi, we should use a mixture containing sodium bicarbonate. Pour 20 grams of sodium bicarbonate into a spray bottle containing one liter of water and 1/4 liter of milk. Shake well to dissolve the baking soda, then spray it in the darkest areas once a week.
If, on the other hand, we want to avoid this problem, we should pour 10 parts of water into a liter of milk. Then, we should transfer the result to a spray bottle and wet the stem and leaves. This operation should be done once a month and the plant should not be watered for the next 24 hours.
Soil pH
With a plant that requires alkaline soil, we must necessarily use milk. This is important because the calcium contained in milk reduces the acidity of the soil. Simply pour a spoonful of powdered milk into a liter of milk. After that, we mix and pour the resulting mixture into the soil.
Clean the leaves
Leaves need to be cleaned frequently because of the dirt that inevitably accumulates on them every day. This clogs the pores, making it difficult for the plant to breathe. Simply wet a cloth with a little water and wipe it over the leaves. After this, you’ll be able to admire shiny, clean leaves.
I would say that all that’s left is to get to work!
