Green thumb lovers, let’s get to work right away!
Red Anthurium: Grow it this way to always have it in bloom and with shiny leaves!
1 – Preparation of the plant and insertion into the sponge.
First of all, you need to check the condition of the plant and the roots . Then we will remove the yellowed leaves and roots with scissors, obviously keeping the root collar.
After achieving the desired result, we take a flower sponge and then create holes at one end.
Inside the holes made, we will insert our leaves.
We then take the sponge with the leaves into a glass vase and pour the water into it. Then, we add a little water directly onto the sponge.
2 – How to water the plant, providing it with the necessary nutrients.
Please note that the plant should only be watered and not fertilized . In fact, after keeping the plant for about 15 days in a shady place, we can move it to a place where it can easily flower.
Then, after two months, it can be watered to provide it with the nutrients it needs, also using manure .
3 – How much should you water the plant and what to do if it seems too dry or too wet.
It is important to know that Anthurium should not be watered more than 3 times a week .
Indeed, too much water could turn the leaves yellow and damage the roots .
If, however, the plant is dry , simply soak the roots after pouring plenty of water into the vase. Then leave it submerged for about 60 minutes . This way, the plant will not dry out further and will take on a new life.
At this point we have all the tools to grow and thrive our Anthurium in water .
