After buying it or receiving it as a gift, it should be placed in a bright environment, moistened if necessary and dusted.
It will lose its flowers at some point, but it’s important to know that the orchid will bloom again. It blooms twice a year: in spring and autumn. Therefore, the plant remains vibrant and must be cared for just as it would when it was in bloom.

- Sugar and honey
Mix a few tablespoons of sugar and one tablespoon of honey in a bowl and add boiling water to dissolve the ingredients. Finally, squeeze the juice from half a lemon. Soak a napkin or old, clean cloth in the mixture and rub it over the leaves—this will make an excellent nutritious syrup for the orchid. - Water and milk
Take a glass, add a spoonful of water, one of milk and mix. Still using an old, clean cloth, moisten it in the liquid and wipe the leaves with it to clean them and keep them free of any fungi. - Banana peel
Bananas are a readily available fruit, present in almost every household, and are a superfood. They are highly nutritious, and many of their properties are contained in the peel. Before throwing them away, rub the inside of the banana on the orchid leaves to make them shine again by removing stains and releasing all of their beneficial substances. - Infusion waste
Place the infusion waste in a bowl and add boiling water. Allow the liquid to cool, then add the juice of half a lemon. Strain the liquid through a sieve and transfer it to a large bowl, in which to soak the vase with the orchid. The liquid can also be rubbed over the leaves and will serve to strengthen the plant.
Transferring an orchid
To transplant an orchid, get a transparent vase, as the sun also needs to shine on the roots. Now, carefully remove the orchid from its pot and rinse the soil off the roots with water. Any rotten roots will need to be trimmed.
Prepare a mixture of clay and orchid soil in the new transparent pot. Always with extreme caution, insert the plant into the new soil, which must also be inserted into the roots. Water and place in a bright location.
