Preparation of the lime water mixture
Initial steps:
Create a limewater mixture by combining 200 grams of lime powder with 30 liters of water.
Substrate preparation and incubation
Preparation of the culture substrate:
Soak straw or hay in the limewater mixture to prepare the substrate for mushroom growth.
Soak the straw or hay for about 30 minutes, then drain it.
Incubation process:
Cover the drained substrate with plastic for about 4 days, maintaining a temperature of 65-70°C.
Mushroom cultivation phase
grow mushrooms in plastic bags
Closure of the mushroom embryo:
Proceed to the culture phase after successful incubation.
Use plastic bags:
Use normal plastic bags, preferably PE polyethylene, approximately 30 x 40 cm.
Make sure the bags have a folded square bottom to facilitate layering of the substrate.
Layering process:
Fill the bags with substrate, starting with a bottom layer of 3-4 cm and transplanting the mushroom seeds along the wall of the bag.
Add 6-7cm layers until there are four layers in total, sprinkling the seeds evenly over the top layer.
Sealing and transfer to the nursery:
Seal the bags with clean cotton and secure the mouth for proper closure.
Transfer the bags to a fiber nursery, keeping a distance between them and covering the bag openings with newspaper to retain moisture.
Growing and Harvesting Mushrooms

Environmental management:
Make sure the growing area remains enclosed to maintain humidity and warmth, which are essential for mushroom growth.
Observation and cutting:
Monitor the bags until the mycelium covers them evenly with a white color.
Cut and hang the bags, making staggered incisions for mushroom germination.
Watering and harvesting:
Water bags 2 to 3 times a day for even moisture; harvest by turning mushrooms counterclockwise.
Suspend watering after harvest to facilitate later germination and care for future generations.
Continuous harvest:
Continue the process for subsequent harvests, as subsequent generations tend to grow more abundantly.

Adaptation
Adaptable and practical approach:
This method allows for daily harvesting and can be adapted to specific needs using readily available materials.
Consistent environmental conditions and careful monitoring are essential to successful mushroom cultivation.
