In this recent period characterized by galloping inflation and sharp increases in energy costs, we have all learned to have good habits at home , to avoid over-consuming and save on the bill. Likewise, many have also chosen to change their approach to used objects. If previously everything was thrown in the trash, now we try to recycle certain objects that can still be very useful for other purposes. Anyone who has old shampoo bottles at home shouldn’t throw them away. It only takes a few steps to transform them into new items.
The first thing to do is to take one of those shampoo bottles and cut the cap off with a hacksaw . The next step is to get a cardboard tube and insert it into the cap you just cut off (so you have to pay attention to the dimensions, editor’s note).
We keep the cap at one end of the tube. To ensure good adhesion, we can also apply a little glue to the end of the tube, so that the cap we made by notching the shampoo bottle is perfectly applied.
Now let’s take a pair of shears and cut off the end of the tube where we inserted the cap. The cut should be made about two or three centimeters below the cap.
We cover the other end of the small piece of pipe with glue and insert it well into a bolt, as you can clearly see in the video. The next step is to cut a piece of the shampoo dispenser . In the remaining part, we will insert a small plastic tube to see if it fits correctly.
Having also noticed this, we insert the previous creation into the upper part of the shampoo dispenser, then we also insert the small plastic tube.
In this way, we will have managed to create a practical pump for extracting dishwashing detergent .
We also make great storage containers from old shampoo bottles.
Another way to recycle your used shampoo bottle is to cut off the bottom of the product to use it as a convenient storage container.
Recycle shampoo bottles
By cutting the part that interests us as seen in the video, we can obtain a practical mini container that we can hang in the kitchen , behind the sink.
Inside this small container, obtained from the used shampoo bottle, we can put the sponges we use to wash the dishes, including the metal one that allows us to remove even the most stubborn dirt from the dishes.
So, from a simple old bottle, we have created two very useful solutions for our home. There are many other things that can be done with a plastic bottle too: try it to believe it.
