Remove the lid from the box and unscrew the bottle cap. Then place the neck of the bottle in the center of the container’s lid and mark the circumference of the neck with a marker. Cut out the circle you drew. Using a drill, drill a hole on all four edges of the plastic box lid and drill a hole in the cap so that the water can drain. Fill the box halfway with water and close the lid. Also fill the bottle halfway with water and screw on the cap. Coat the cap with glue and insert the neck of the bottle into the center of the lid, in the circle you cut out. All you have to do is wrap a strong wire around the bottle to hang it. Install your birdbath in the shade and not too close to the ground to protect the birds from predators.

Birds can drink through the four holes in the lid of the plastic container. Their fine beaks allow them to drink the water that flows from the bottle and fills the container. Remember to change the water regularly and disinfect the drinker to prevent the spread of disease. In winter, it is recommended to place the waterer in a sunny location or fill it with warm water to prevent it from freezing.

In addition to providing water, there are several ways to attract birds to your garden. You can actually consider feeding them. To do this, set up a bird feeder and fill it with seeds such as sunflower seeds, proso millet, or cracked corn, which is the seed of choice for most birds, as long as it is not contaminated with pesticides. However, avoid giving them dry biscuits, bread, or any other food containing processed carbohydrates.

Also consider building a nest box. A nest box could encourage them to take up residence in your garden. Place the box high up to protect these garden helpers from predators. Also, make sure the entrances are different sizes to accommodate a variety of species.
