How to Make an Eco-Friendly Floor Cleaner

Cleaning floors is a real headache for many of us. Not only is it difficult to find the right product (which varies depending on the type of flooring), but even when we have found it, having satisfactory results is really difficult .

Floors can be made of many different materials ( wood, porcelain, vinyl, marble chips or terracotta , to name a few), and each of them requires a specific product that, often, can be very expensive.

However, it is possible to prepare a universal and ecological floor cleaner , which works well on almost all types of floors and is able to remove dirt and polish them thoroughly. Not to mention that it is prepared only with natural ingredients, and therefore it is also ecological and non-toxic to our health.

You need:

100 ml of white vinegar
6 tablespoons lemon juice
5 drops of lavender or tea tree essential oil
Proceed as follows: pour all the ingredients into a bowl and mix well until they integrate with each other. Lemon has natural bleaching properties and removes stains , vinegar disinfects and neutralizes bad odors , essential oil gives the floor a pleasant and lasting scent .

Fill a bucket halfway with warm water, pour in the eco-friendly cleaner and use it to wash the entire floor as if it were a regular detergent.

Wash the floor at least twice a week to keep it clean and streak-free . Never mix your natural cleaner with chemicals – not only is it unnecessary, it’s also dangerous.
