How to make an effective natural insect repellent

Insects can be a real nuisance, but also a danger to our health. In some parts of the world, they are a deadly problem. The use of industrial repellents, while effective, exposes us to chemical and toxic substances: below we offer two recipes for natural insect repellents .

Lemongrass oil . Obtained from a plant native to Asia, it has antibacterial and antiseptic properties, but it also has a great repellent action against mosquitoes, lice and fleas. You can apply lemongrass oil directly to your arms or apply it to the corners of your home.

Lavender oil . It is extracted from lavender leaves, and has a very pleasant scent. One of the many uses of this oil is simply as a natural repellent.

You can dilute lavender oil in a carrier oil or apple cider vinegar. A few drops applied to the skin are enough to have a powerful repellent effect.

Chamomile . Bring 250 grams of chamomile flowers to a boil, then apply to the skin every two hours to repel mosquitoes.
