Soft linens like what they make in the laundry with this ancient secret

To always have soft and fluffy laundry, you can rely on certain remedies from your grandmother which are always very effective.

Vinegar on clothes
Everyone dreams of having laundry that’s always clean, fragrant, and particularly soft. It’s certainly nice to wear clothes that smell good, but also feel pleasantly soft to the touch. The same goes for sheets, whose softness certainly helps you rest better, but also for other items of clothing such as bathrobes, jackets, scarves, etc. Finally, even the towels we usually use in the bathroom need a certain level of softness. A task that becomes more complicated with older towels, as they tend to become less and less soft over time.

With these remedies, the laundry will always be soft and fluffy
Yet, even these towels can come back as soft as the first time we used them. Some ingredients we usually have at home can be very useful in giving towels that softness that seemed lost.

Soft linen
Among these is white wine vinegar , an ingredient often used in cooking for its beneficial properties, including effective antioxidant action.

White wine vinegar is a popular ingredient not only in cooking, but also for making clothes and garments soft and fluffy. How to do it? The process is very simple.

Simply pour three tablespoons of white wine vinegar into the compartment of the washing machine where fabric softener is usually placed . If we have to fill the washing machine with clothes and towels to wash, we can increase the amount of white wine vinegar a little, bringing it to four or five tablespoons.

Once this is done, all that’s left is to start the wash and wait for the cycle to finish. When we take the clothes out of the washing machine, we realize how pleasantly soft they have become again.

Besides white wine vinegar, another ingredient that accomplishes this feat is baking soda . This ingredient is almost always present in the kitchen.

In this case, however, a single spoonful will be enough to put in the basket. Once the wash is finished, we will notice how sodium bicarbonate has managed to guarantee the same effectiveness as white wine vinegar.

Citric acid and Marseille soap
Citric acid is an excellent alternative to white wine vinegar and baking soda. This highly effective ingredient should be dissolved in one liter of warm water: add approximately 160-170 grams for satisfactory results.

Clothes in the washing machine
To make the solution even softer for our clothes and towels, we can also add a dozen drops of essential oil .

Once the mixture is finished, we can add it to the washing machine tub (no more than four spoons). We start the wash and wait for the washing machine to finish its work . Once the cycle is finished, we can remove the clothes: the softness will surprise us.

Finally, another excellent element for restoring softness to clothes is Marseille soap. Simply add a few flakes to the laundry basket or drawer and then proceed with the wash. Even then, the result is guaranteed.
