If your orchid’s life seems to be hanging by a thread, you shouldn’t give up just yet. In fact, you could try to revive it with a trick that’s ideal for when its roots are completely rotten or dry, or even when it’s rootless.
All we need would be an empty plastic bottle, like water, with:
scissors;
half a glass of apple cider vinegar;
water to taste
Method
The first thing to do is to remove the orchid from its jar and remove any soil. Then, wherever there were any, cut off any dry or rotten roots. A small piece of stem should remain under the leaves.
This is exactly what we should spray with a mixture of water and apple cider vinegar, considered a good rooting hormone, ideal for quickly developing new roots.
Once this operation is completed, let’s move on to the bottle, which we must transform into a humidifier jar. This, along with the water, would be able to generate humidity around the plant, considered a fundamental natural element for the growth of new roots and full recovery.
To do this, cut the neck of the bottle with scissors, remove the cap and insert it, without turning it over, inside the bottle. Still inside the bottle, we place the orchid, taking care not to break the leaves and ensuring that the small stem is housed inside the opening where the cap is screwed.
