If you have some dry whole wheat bread left over, you can’t miss these meatless meatballs, made on the fly in a pan with very few ingredients and scented with basil.
Meatballs are synonymous with Sunday, sauce and grandma. Very good! But today we try to give you a different version, faster, without meat and above all without an oven. A pass in the pan and they will be ready!
Ingredients:
- 150g stale wholemeal bread
- 60 grams of parmesan cheese
- Water to taste
- Pepper
- 1 egg
- Basil
- Salt
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Garlic
Preparation:
Then cook them in a pan until they become golden.
Blend the stale bread coarsely and not too finely.
Then add the cheese and the egg
Mix everything together, then add pepper, salt and chopped basil.
Add a little water if the dough is too dry.
Now we can create our meatballs in the size we prefer.
Oven? No thanks, let’s use the pan by heating a drizzle of oil with a little garlic
