Here’s how to clean gas burners without scrubbing

Let’s be honest, when we cook, we mainly clean the hob, but we often completely forget about its components!

Wrongly so, because in addition to the plates, it’s essential to clean the stovetops. These are materials on which rust can form very easily. And it’s often very difficult to remove!

Now let’s see how to clean them properly!

  • With vinegar and water

With white vinegar, used not only in the kitchen but also throughout the house, you can clean burners and hobs!

Heat 300 ml of water and 700 ml of white vinegar on the stovetop. When the mixture boils, turn off the heat, then immerse the hotplates and burners. Let them soak.

When the water has cooled, remove them from the mixture and, if necessary, wipe them with a sponge to remove any remaining stains. Dry after this step.

  • With baking soda

Another cleaning ally is undoubtedly baking soda! Often praised for cleaning various parts of the house, it is also used for burners and stovetops.

Heat a pot of water and bring it to a boil. Then add 4 tablespoons of baking soda and let it melt.

Soak the items in the solution and let them sit for a few hours. This will soften the stain and make it easier to remove!

  • With citric acid

Prepare a solution with 150 grams of citric acid and 1 liter of boiling water. Pour it over the burners or grill plates. Let it soak for about an hour.

When the stains have disappeared, dry them gently with a cotton cloth.

  • With fine cleaning salt

The last solution is fine salt. Its abrasive action can remove stubborn stains and will help make your burners and hobs look like new!

In this case, too, the procedure is always the same: in a pot of boiling water containing three tablespoons of salt, soak the components for at least an hour.

  • For stubborn dirt

In some cases, the above methods may be enough to remove all the dirt. However, if the stain is more stubborn, then it’s time to remove the toughest dirt. After soaking the plates, use a non-abrasive sponge and scrub vigorously until everything is removed. Then, rinse and dry each piece thoroughly, as remaining water can cause rust.
