Below we will explain in detail how to put into practice the curious method of growing roses on potatoes .

How to Grow a Rose in a Potato
To do this you need: a rose, a large potato, a plastic bottle, soil and a vase.

The first step is to remove all the leaves from the stem of the rose and cut it about 5 to 6 cm from the flower. The cut should be oblique and form a 45 degree angle.

Take the dry potato and, using a knife, make a hole the size of the rose stem. The hole should be large enough to secure the rose stem and prevent it from moving.

Fill the pot with soil and put the potato in it, then cover it with soil. Cut the base of the plastic bottle and place it on the rose to create a greenhouse effect and help the plant grow.

Once the first leaves have formed, remove the plastic bottle and place the vase in a sunny corner. Water two or three times a day, but do not overdo it.

As you have seen, growing a rose in a potato is a very simple operation and can be a very nice gift.
