How to Grow Potatoes in Pots

Potatoes are undoubtedly one of the most versatile and popular foods, enjoyed worldwide and prepared in a myriad of different ways. Rich in B vitamins and minerals like potassium, phosphorus, and magnesium, potatoes are also very beneficial for our health.

In this article, we’ll explain how to grow potatoes in pots so you always have them available. It’s a simple operation that anyone can do.

To grow potatoes , you need a bag of potatoes, a very large pot, and potting soil.

Place the potatoes in a bowl, “eye” side up. Store in a cool place and wait for a sprout to appear.

Once the sprouts have emerged, cut the potatoes into chunks. Meanwhile, add the potting soil to the pot. Bury the potatoes, leaving a piece sticking out of the surface.

Water the soil regularly, keeping it moist but not overly so, to prevent fungus from growing.

Potatoes can be harvested when the plant’s foliage turns yellow.
