Rosemary is one of the most widely used aromatic plants in cooking, but it also offers many health benefits and is an ideal ingredient for preparing herbal teas, oils and tinctures .
Precisely because of its usefulness, rosemary is an ingredient that we should always have at home. What could be better than growing rosemary from a branch ? Below we explain how to do it. The reproduction of rosemary is very simple and we can do it from a sprig of this plant, a little water and very simple steps. Another of its advantages is that rosemary can also be reproduced by cutting , that is, a solid and healthy fragment of a plant. Carrying out this process at home is very simple and we explain it to you step by step: Cut diagonally 15 centimeters of a sprig of rosemary and remove the leaves at its base. Fill a glass with water and insert the branch. Let it soak overnight. Place the glass with the plant near a window, in an area of the house that is not very cold. If you notice that water evaporates during the process, add a little water at room temperature. A week later, the first roots will already be formed. When the roots are well formed (about three weeks later), the rosemary is ready to be placed in a pot with potting soil. Put a little fertilizer with the soil, make a hole in the center and insert the twig. During the first week, water every two or three days. Remember that rosemary suffers from excess water. Now that you know how to reproduce rosemary from a sprig , start right away to have a lush plant in the shortest possible time.
