How to grow seedlings by refrigerating apple seeds?

Apples hold pride of place among the world’s most beloved fruits. You can bite into them or use them to create delicious dishes. Most often, apple seeds are discarded. However, by refrigerating them, you’ll discover they have a real purpose.

In this article, you’ll learn how to grow your own seedlings using apple seeds. You’ll soon be able to see a little plant life appearing in your kitchen thanks to this trick.

Practical method for growing a seedling in your refrigerator

The first step is to take an apple and cut it in half to carefully remove all the seeds. The next step is to use a knife to cut the seeds in half. Then, place the seeds on a tray covered with a damp paper towel.

Place the tray in your refrigerator. Over the next ten days, take the time to observe the seeds: small roots will gradually begin to appear. When they are fully formed, you can remove the seedlings from the refrigerator.

Fill several pots with soil, then make a small hole in the center of each pot. Place a seed in each pot, making sure your fingers don’t touch the roots. You can use tweezers for this.

Remember to cover the seeds with soil before watering to ensure the soil is thoroughly moist. You can then choose a location for your pot. However, avoid direct sunlight.

Water your plant regularly and be patient. At the end of the first month, due to the size of the plant, you will need to consider transferring it to a much larger pot.
