How to Make Dull Faucets Look Like New

on How to Make Dull Faucets Look Like New

Cleaning  the faucet  is essential for its proper functioning, but also for an aesthetic issue. Over time, the accumulation of limescale and minerals can make your faucet dull and full of white spots. Although there are many chemical products to clean the faucet, it is better to adopt natural solutions that do not pose any risk to our health and the environment and that are at the same time capable of disinfecting and making a  dull faucet shine  . For the  first tip to clean a dull faucet  that we suggest, you just need a little flour and a clean cloth. Clean the faucet with a dry cloth to remove surface dirt, then sprinkle flour over the entire surface and leave it to act for 10 minutes. Finally, clean well with another dry cloth until all traces of limescale have disappeared. Your faucet will look so clean and shiny. The  second tip  is perhaps the best known, and consists of rubbing a lemon cut in half directly on the metal part of the faucet. In addition to being a good disinfectant, lemon is very effective against limescale. Once you’re done, rinse the faucet with warm water and dry it well with a clean cloth. The  third and final tip  for cleaning the faucet is the most complete, as it allows you to clean the aerator well and thus facilitate the flow of water. Start by unscrewing the aerator and placing it in a glass. Pour a little vinegar and baking soda and wait for the effervescent reaction to finish, then use a toothbrush to clean it thoroughly, rinse and dry it. Then, sprinkle baking soda on the faucet and pour vinegar. After two minutes, scrub well with a toothbrush and finally use a clean cloth to remove the residue and dry.
