How to propagate Sansevieria: two practical and quick ways

Propagating Sansevieria is very simple. You can do it in two different ways.
If your desire is to have many specimens of your plants or if you want to give them to someone, propagation is the method for you.

By propagation, in fact, it is intended to produce other plants from those already existing.

Let’s see how to do this specifically for Sansevieria .

Cutting

First, cut a leaf from the plant you intend to propagate into several pieces.
Place the pieces in a pot with soil, falling deeply into the side where the cut was made.
Water, then place the pot in a dark place.
After about 35 days, gently pull the leaves out of the soil. You will notice that small roots have grown.
Now you will need to replant them in the pot of your choice and care for them normally.
Leaves

Since Sansevieria grows by developing different branches, you can use them to propagate it.
Choose the branch you intend to take and free it from the soil that hosts it, taking care not to damage its roots.
Then transfer it to a new container with suitable soil.
Water until the soil is well moistened.
