How to propagate singonium from a leaf and make it bloom

The syngonium is a wonderful plant, appreciated above all for its very particular leaves and for the simplicity of its maintenance. Being a climbing plant, it needs considerable space and adapts well to both indoor and outdoor environments.

Few people know that in addition to its care, reproducing the singonium and making it bloom is very simple and can give us really satisfactory results.

Below we list the basic remedies of singonium:

It needs light but not direct sunlight.
Does not tolerate temperatures below 13°C.
It should be placed in a well-ventilated area.
It needs plenty of moisture, especially in spring and summer. Water whenever the soil feels dry.
Spray water on its leaves at least 3 times a week.
Syngonium does not need pruning, but old leaves can be removed before they fall off to make way for new leaves.
How to play the singonium
Proceed to cut part of the stem of the plant.
The best part of the stem to reproduce the plant is the final part, the one that contains the most leaves and has at least two nodes.
Place this part of the stem in a vase filled with water, until the nodes are completely covered.
After a few days, the first roots will form.
When the roots have reached a length of about 3 cm, you can put the plant in the potting soil.
Syngonium can also be propagated and grown in water, there is no need to transplant it into soil.
How to make singonium bloom
Creating conditions for the singonium to bloom is very difficult. It tends to bloom in late spring or early summer and to do this it needs a well-lit place but protected from the sun’s rays.

Good moisture management is also essential. The flowering of the singonium is by no means guaranteed, but the lucky ones will witness a unique spectacle.
